Phuket’s main temple stop. Free, easy to understand in about an hour and best combined with Big Buddha or Old Town instead of making a separate cross-island trip.

BEFORE YOU BOOK THE BOAT
Faster and common on island tours, but the ride can feel harder in choppy water. Think twice with toddlers, elderly parents, back/neck issues or strong seasickness.
Can feel steadier and easier for some families, but may take longer and is not available on every route/operator. Compare the actual vessel, boarding and itinerary.
May–October planning: wetter-season months can bring rougher Andaman conditions. Keep sea days flexible and follow operator/marine safety calls. Do not force a tour because Day 2 says island day.
PATONG · SIMPLE SAFETY RULES
Bangla / shows: if entry, minimum drinks or the final price is unclear, walk away. Check the bill as you go instead of opening a vague tab.
Jet skis: use reputable operators, understand damage/deposit terms, and record the craft's existing condition before taking it out. If the process feels unclear, skip it.
